At Shady Oak Baptist Church, we believe God's promise that "His salvation is to all generations." It is amazing to see the many different people God has called together to be a part of the Shady Oak family. If you stop and take a look around our church, you will notice children, young adults, senior adults both single and married all worshipping and serving the Lord. Knowing that God's salvation is to all generations, we place a high priority on making sure our ministries extend to all generations. The word ministry means service. It is developing an understanding of your gifts and abilities, and applying them to do the work of the church. This gives our members the congregation an opportunity to pursue their calling. "Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift." II Corinthians 9:15. |

Deacons Ministry In accordance with Acts 6:13, the purpose of the Deacons Ministry is to assist the senior pastor with the sequential needs of the ministry. |
Financial Accountability Team This team assists the senior pastor with the financial matters of the ministry, which include the church financials. The ministry is further broken into four subordinate ministries, the offering counting team, administrative support team, the Information Technology support team, and the Policy and Facility support team. |
Praise and Worship Ministry The Praise and Worship Ministry responsibility is to provide an atmosphere of praise and worship. This is accomplished using several different groups, The Brockman Memorial Choir, the Youth Choir, the Male Chorus, the Voices of Promise, Youth Proclaiming Christ, and the Adult Praise Dancers. |

Outreach and Evangelism Ministries Reaching out through the Missionary Ministry, the Deacons Spouses, the Visitation Ministry, and Food Bank Ministry is the sole purpose of this ministry. This iswhere real ministry is done (serving others). |
Spiritual Development Ministries This ministry assists the Church Family with certain segments of their Spiritual Development through various small groups such as Men's Ministry, Women's Ministry, and Singles Ministry. |
Personal Development Ministry We have found that people need developing in other areas of their lives besides spiritual growth. This ministry addresses health issues through the Health Ministry, social concerns with the Activities and Recreation ministry, along with various self-help groups that minister to the whole person. |

Ministries of Helps The Ministries of Helps ministry was created for the purpose of providing assistance to several ministries in the church, such as, the Pastors Adjutants, the Hospitality Ministry, the New Members Ministry, the Usher's Ministry, and the Wedding and Decorating Ministry. |
Youth Empowerment Ministry The Youth Empowerment Ministry provides our youth with opportunities for spiritual and personal development thru activities like our Children's Church. Along with our Children's Church, our youth have an opportunity to grow spiritually in our Youth Spiritual Growth Ministry. We have an Academic Excellence Ministry, an Art Education Development Ministry that works hand and hand with our Youth Cultural Development Ministry to provide the youth with a well rounded cultural experience. |
Facilities and Operations The Buildings & Grounds and the Security & Transportation ministries are responsible for the day to day operation of the church. |

Media Ministry This ministry supports The Senior Pastor and Worship Team during services ensuring that adequate and appropriate techniques are used to recreate the worship experience at Shady Oak. Also included in this ministry is our Bookstore, and the Kingdom Focus Newsletter, an informational medium used by Shady Oak Baptist Church. |

Empowerment Hour This is our weekly Christian Development and Empowerment Class, were the focus is learning in peer groups. |
